chaingang tonight?

I know all this training business makes us sound a bit serious but, well, some people really are into this bike lark so feel free to talk about all training & self improvement related topics in here

If I get home ontime then I could be up for this.

7:15 meet?

What distance, speed, time do you normally do?

Cheers

Cripes George you are really gonna suffer.

I can't hold onto anything when she starts up that awful row- let alone a wheel on the chaingang.

Yes it's 7:15 at CSS.
Unfortunately I've only been able to make a couple of these as I'd hoped to do more.
Distance = straight down A23 to Gatwick and back
Speed = bloody quick

I can't hold on to Paul and Dom's wheel's so just tried to hang on as long as possible (about the M23 turnoff) and then just carried on riding as hard as I could by myself, or in a 2up with whoever else was dropped (Ben or Kevin as it turned out on the 2 times I was there). As I had already commuted and done 30 miles I only went as far as Redhill (or half way up the hill the other side) and then turned back and rode as hard as I could solo back to Coulsdon. Just spun home as a slightly slower pace but in smaller gears from there.

If you can get there give it a go. You'll have to bury yourself from the start but just try to hang on for as long as possible and when dropped just keep going as hard as you can. You could either turn back at Redhill (if you get dropped early like me) and keep charging along on your own, or go a bit further, turn earlier and try and jump on the train on the way back.

Make sure you have good lights on the bike and light yourself up like a Christmas tree (front and back).

150 universal music industry chiefs were well pissed off she couldn't be bothered with her 45 min set at the grove.

Maybe she reads the forum, saw Ian's post and went in to a spiral of self doubt.

How did it go then? And by the way does Gavin still ride these? He seemed quite motivated, almost coordinating the whole thing, but he hasn't posted in a while

it went well. bit hard into a monstrous head wind, dom, paul h, brian and myself turned up.

brian lasted till redhill then it was just dom paul and me.

dom turned off home at merstham, and me and paul carried on up the drag where i got dropped by paul ! i got a little bit of cramp in my calf and once a gap opened up there was no chance of getting back on his wheel, but he waited for me at the top.

we stormed back to coulsdon. i carried on for another 40 minutes to bring the ride to and hour. so a good 2 hour session in the end.

i dont think ive seen gavin up there for weeks!

Do you suffer from cramp often? Do you drink enough fluids? Was about 2 weeks ago you suffered with cramp.
