I know all this training business makes us sound a bit serious but, well, some people really are into this bike lark so feel free to talk about all training & self improvement related topics in here
I'm sure James has his own person weather system controlling the park. Whenever I do it ist always bloody windy Early morning and late eves are best they tell me
that horizon programme the other week suggested that early evening is the best time for the body to exercise and they commented that more world records fall during the early evening hours so i might have a go one evening over the next few weeks
anyway might be worth taking an addiscombe contingent out to the park and putting down some good times
Weekends are a nightmare, but midweek after the rush hour around 10ish is not too bad. Be prepared to overtake traffic on the Richmond Gate to Ham Gate stretch (downhill).
i did my only serious attempt on a sunday afternoon last summer and it happened to coincide with a charity "bike" "ride" where most people were wheeling their bikes up the road on the two hilly sections
Hey Toks Got down there before 7.am this morning, weather was perfect, sunny and no breeze Did 54.16 anti clock, had to slow down on the 1st lap for a few secs to let some deer cross the road but apart from that no cars and perfect conditions Even got back home for 8.30 so some good brownie points for that! Would recommend getting there as early as poss to avoid the cars Cheers Carl
