[quote="Adam"]Riding round it slowly is fine, then you start to go fast around it and you're all over the place. Because of the way it was trimmed down to fit inside the building, the bends are sharper than normal. As a result only the most experienced people there could stay on the black line while going round the bends at speed.
Also, it's really difficult to follow the wheels because when you enter the bend the speed drops a little, then raises again as you exit the bend due to the banking. And I really struggled to read this right!
Sorry Adam, but I must correct you on this point. The old "wall of death" track at calshot back in the 80's and 90's was a track that was used at Wembley, with two straight sections removed so that it fitted into the hangar and was only 110m a lap.
The current track was purpose- built by Ron Webb to fit the space and the banking designed for slower speed riding than normal on such a short track.
I see you noted the rise and fall of the speed on the black line which is tiring at first until you get used to it.
