Nice little evening turbo session

I know all this training business makes us sound a bit serious but, well, some people really are into this bike lark so feel free to talk about all training & self improvement related topics in here

Is there a suggestion within this thread that people are training seriously at the moment. If so, come-on, Guys. It's only sh*gging November! Why would anyone want to be training seriously at this time of the year, Cyclo-crossers excepted of course?

November is best for enjoying the riding, eating cake and generally messing around on the bike. Serious training - no way!

Exactly!

I mean where are most of the Pro's right now??

Somewhere off their faces on rum in the Caribbean I suspect... although I guess some may just have their heads buried in the sand hoping skeletons stay in the closet. :?

If people want to train then it's their choice like with helmets...

it was good, but the missus kept me on a tight leesh when it came to riding, so i only got out for an hour on monday, but its a beautiful area to go riding in.

I'm not suprised, you were hardly likely to get all the way down there and be ''allowed'' to do three 3/4 hour rides were you!?

well i didn't get on the turbo today sorry, it's far too nice outside, but managed 3h+ on the bike - 1h05 before work, 40 minutes at lunch and just back from 1h20 (saw PaulH out running)

mostly around 135bpm - it's not slow, it's the sweet spot that makes you feel like you are gliding effortlessly - and breathing through my nose (not easy in this cold!)

unlike Marek i still feel fresh as a daisy :D

so i can have my 1h30 of pain in the the trainning group clubrun saturday for a change (not racing sunday) - see you all there, and be there Paul!

Don't worry Tony you won't catch me training in October, or probably from November through to September  .

Stu, I know the two and they are really nice places to cycle through. I'm sure I've been through them more than once on a PVT coastal jaunt, well over the numerous coastal rides with Mr. Ordnance Survey we've probably covered most of the South East but it's just trying to remember where you've been  .

Hey, Stu, glad your enjoying messing around and trying out interesting looking new lanes. I asssume you did them both on the same ride? If so, you''d ventured quite a long way from home! Both are cool places to ride through. Some of the lanes south of Sharpethorne are worth riding too. You can do some train spotting and see if you can spot the steam train on the Bluebell Railway.

In fact there's a whole heap of good lanes and rides in that vincinity. Maybe I'll have to get my bike out at some point....
