Wednesday chaingang from Butlers & Coulsdon

I know all this training business makes us sound a bit serious but, well, some people really are into this bike lark so feel free to talk about all training & self improvement related topics in here

Unbelievably for a man ion my position I've been bikeless since the weekend

My Time is in Butlers awaiting a new headset (Its taking more TIME to arrive than anticipated)

My Fixed is broken (It needs FIXING)

My Look hasn't arrived yet (haven't SEEN it as such)

Clearly a man needs at least 3 bikes at all times :( :( :(

How is the fixed broken, not a lot to break.

What's happened to that beautiful Merlin Huw? There must be something knocking about the office you can swipe.

The Merlin was returned to its rightful owners just before xmas

The Fixed just needs a new chain (ie I've been lazy and neglected to get one)

Next up is a new SRAM equipped Look 585 Optima which should arrive any minute

Why SRAM? Cos there's nothing left to write about Shimano and Campag so I thought I'd at leat give it a go.

Anybody have any experience of it? I know people who swear by it and I know people who swear AT it.

I'd be interested if anyone has used it

Collecting my old knacker from the garage tonight (which is now officially knackered) so will have to wait 'til next week for my panniered debut.

With all this talk of riding I fixed my fixed and went out at lunchtime

AWESOME! What a day. No wind, nice and warm - there's nthing like being on a fixed on a day like that (even if the 68ins gear does feel like a prison gang rape in fast forward when you go over 27mph)

it's like a diifferent planet than the weekend in all that wind - if only every day was like this in winter.

Anyway - I saw 2 other riders out in ACC kit so clearly there's a good deal of secret training going on 8) 8) 8)

Who was that going south on the Coulsdon bypass that waved??? Looked suspiciously like KK to me?
