If it is just Paul and Dominic tonite, does that still count as a gang? I used to be in a gang @ school and for sure we wouldn't have recognised two geezers on bikes as a gang, we'd have nicked your sweets for sure  assuming we could catch you of course

Ben and I were also there at CSS but we can't hang on to these guys for long  .

Glad to hear it, makes me feel a bit better :D . To be honest I expected to be dropped early as Paul's a very good 2nd cat (I expect 1st this season) and Dom would take 7-8 minutes out of my in a 25.

I started 3rd wheel with Ben 4th but I started slipping off just after the first dual carriageway section as Paul and Dom slipped off effortlessly in to the night. Ben came round and I grabbed his wheel and he closed the gap up with a big effort but then we slipped off again. We carried on together for a while sharing the work.

We carried on to Redhill and up the hill, half way up we were caught at the lights and I turned back while Ben continued alone for the miles (I'd had enough with my commute). Tried to keep the pace as high as I could all the way back to CSS but the legs were getting tired.

Worth doing as it extended my commute for some more miles (50 miles and 3hrs) and shook a few cobwebs out.

The time really surprises me. It didn't feel that fast, coupled with the amount of traffic lights we seemed to catch. I was suffering like a dog on the way back to Redhill, while Paul was making it look very eary. I am even more surprised because my legs have felt tired since Sunday. I was at one point on the ride home from work thinking of not training tonight. Very glad I did :D
