4 of us turned up at East Croydonb for last nights nights rides.

We headed out on the traditional route Croham Hurst, Selsdon, Rachels and back through S... (ahem) "local" Hills. It was good to get out at night again after a break over January/Feburary. The going was quite soft to start with but as time went on the temperature dropped and by the time we got back to Lloyd PAr the ground had frozen almost solid which made things much easier. Well done to Hall for surviving most of the ride with just his commuter light. Wildlife prize this time goes to Wal who spotted two deer at the front of the group.

Only 3 weeks more left until the clocks change so now's the time to make use of those dealextreme lights before they get packed away for the summer.

Aodan.

My first night MTB ride so it was a good experiance. Started off with Wal's old light and following his trail with his extradeal lights was great fun, felt sooo much faster than in day time.

Then the battery went flat in Croham Hurst, which was ok so long as I kept on Wals wheel, (easier said that done), or didnt go round any corners (easier said that done) but it all added to the experiance. Especially when I nearly rode into a tree.

Graham thanks for the borrow of the light, I will bring it with me wherever I go so next time I see you I can return it.

Thanks

Hal
