My very first solo bike was built in 1960 by a man called Cyril Wren - one of many local London frame builders of which only really Condor and Roberts are left. It was originally bought for my mother by my father.

Wanted to give it a respray but I couldn't get the transfers even from this bloke http://www.hlloydcycles.com

Funnily enough, Cliff Shrubb lately retired from Pearsons borrowed me and my blue Roberts (shut it  ) to help him build a ladies frame and it so happened that the lady had a son or a daughter married into the Wren family and that one day Wren's family (he was still alive then - few years' back) might produce some transfers to do up an old frame.

Not heard anything but maybe if I see Cliffy I'll remind him and see if I can get in touch with the people again.

Dad still has his old GB frame - pencil thin rear stays.
Rogan, the secret I guess is in the lugwork and distinctive rear drop outs. If you get a chance either ride it to the cafe or take that picture down and ask Gentleman Jim T or Keith Butler. One of those will be probably be able to give you some clues if Roy doesn't recognise it on the forum.

Thanks Marco. Where do I find Jim T or Keith Butler?
