I'm liking the Sky Team kit, and i quite like the present addiscombe kit too :D But "IF" we are going for a change, why not go back to the retro jersey yellow with white and black band across the chest with Addiscombe CC on the band, keep it simple, a bit like myself :D

Robh,
Have you read my post on the previous page?
Are you volunteering to help with the work?

I didn't realise it until I saw the photo on the previous page but ...

have NP just copied our design into their colours. They have the hoop on the cuffs, main colour down the middle and black on the sides ????

Aodan.

PS Grahame, I'll volunteer for the sub-committee when it starts.

Yep, if you take the existing ACC kit, simplify, streamline and modernise it a bit, the NP kit is what you end up with!

Sean , In my view AGM is absolutely the wrong forum for such discussions. Reports, rule changes yes but club decisions are rightly in the hands of the committee informed by the working group, otherwise why have a committee. That decision has already been taken. In any case such a discussion would be a disaster as it would feature as many views as there were participants.

[quote="Sean Hogan"]I think the clamour for new kit masks a desire for a bit more than what is little than a cosmetic makeover.

What is needed is for those in the club that have an alternative vision to stand up and see if it'll fly at the AGM later this year. There are those I know who want to make that step forward, but are unsure about how to make that move.

Is anyone prepared to start now ?

Right, thats the fuse lit. ....... :|

maybe so Sean but AGMs are really only places where you and elect officials and receive reports and change rules in which case one needs alternative people to stand for election with some idea of what they want to be different, if anything. My bet is that ain't gonna happen so lets not widen the debate beyond the issue of what we wear for fear of losing what little impetus that exists.

[quote="Sean Hogan"]Alan, you missed completely the thrust of what I am trying to say. I believe that there needs to be change beyond that of what to wear. Those serious about enabling that change need to have articulated thta change by the time of the AGM, not at it.

Change what, exactly? Or is this some sort of Obama-esque change for change's sake? Become a motorbike club, perhaps? Or a political party? Maybe field some candidates in the coming election on a pothole-filling platform?
We are a cycling club that does club rides and races, caters to all abilities.
Not too beard & sandals to put some people off, nor too eyeballs-out racing-oriented to put off others. When the little Dombos are big enough I'd happily bring them along on the CR. The forum is open, friendly and informative; we have a good website.
So, change what exactly?
