Isn't it typical

Postby Andrew G » Sun Mar 28, 2010 3:40 pm

When I looked at the forecast for today a couple of days ago it said it was going to rain for most of the day, so I decided it was the ideal time to replace the mudguards on my commuting bike. What happens, It's a great spring day for riding and I spend two hours in the garage looking out at it :( . Oh well, at least the bike has some nice new mudguards  .

I fell for it too. Forecast said rain so did club run yesterday and stayed at home with little un pottered around in the the garage whilst Mrs went out with the horses (actual horses not her friends).

So I'm sure I missed Dan's great ride today.

I'll be away next Saturday so hope there is some great weather when I get back.

Often the forecast changes overnight, like for Saturday. I went for a 2h mtb training ride, it was a lot muddier than I'd expected, but I enjoyed it :D

As somebody once said:

The problem with the met office is that they are not always wrong.

I tend to look the night before and then again on the morning of a ride and then pack a jacket and think, "b*****ks, i'll go anyway."
