I didn't realise it until I saw the photo on the previous page but ...

have NP just copied our design into their colours. They have the hoop on the cuffs, main colour down the middle and black on the sides ????

Think you'll find the new design hasn't changed that much since the previous design

Yeah, you can't put this thread to bed.  After a slight political detour. How about we work towards having a new (really cool!) kit out for the olympic year, say January 2012.? That gives everyone plenty of time to save for a new one. I'm gonna buy the present one again this summer for races etc. So splashing out again in 18 months time again won't hurt my pocket too much.

its like watching a glacier melt ...

Dunno, glaciers are melting pretty quickly nowadays.

My thoughts - lose the roundel on the front and stick one on each shoulder - too much black on the shoulders. I think I liked one of the other designs better.

Rather like the short design myself though the jury's out on the white edge... but please, not bib shorts....

I reckon we should get a few design options, get an AGM going and vote on the appropriate kit. Easiest option I thinks! :D

Sean, My view is absolutely "no" to sponsors. That way leads to new kit every year as the sponsorship deal ends, and even more expense for those who absolutely must be in the latest kit. (Plus I don't want to look like a corporate whore).

John, The AGM date is set. It will be on 7th December in the Fellowship Hall of the Methodist church on Lower Addiscombe Road. A formal notice will be posted soon. A motion to adopt one of the new designs will need to be proposed and seconded before the meeting (I'm sure George or another of those involved in investigating kit design and supply will look after this). All paid up members are welcome to attend the AGM and vote on issues surounding how the club is run - including who is on the committee and charged with looking after each aspect of running our club.

Oh no it’s starting all over again.

You can’t please everyone. There are aspects of this new kit I don’t like that much, but if every single person starts pointing out to small changes they’d want, we’ll never get there (again). Unless they want to be in charge of the whole thing themselves of course.
