Has anyone ever had problems with Wiggle?

I have used them a few times for little bits... and spent £300 on some bits recently, including 2 new tyres (@ £45 a pop!)

It all said it was in stock, so i ordered it expecting it within a few days, 2 days later some wiggle boxes arrived but without my tyres... no note or anything!? Weird i thought but went to work... i had an email saying parcel dispatched and informing me that tyres were out of stock and would be with me in a few days. Fair enough.

A week later i got an email saying they were on their way...a weeks later i still had nothing so emailed them and was told they had been dispatched and would be with me soon, check my sorting office and neighbours and wait for 10 days until they will agree its "lost in the post". So i did that, nothing. They then said ok, we'll dispatch some more... this was on april the 1st... 8 days on i have not got my tyres... and i am a bit hacked off now... in my wiggle account it says dispatched against the first order, but the new set for april the 1st it says 'Awaiting Stock, Not Yet Processed - If your order is not fulfilled within 30 days of the order date, it will be cancelled automatically"

I am few up, everytime i email i seem to get fobbed off, theres no number and i am at a loss... i just emailed them once more, but if i cant have me tyres in the next few days, or my money back then i am going to open a paypal dispute... which i dont want to do as thats just hassle for everyone!

Not intending on using wiggle again... which is a shame as theres about £800 worth of toys in my basket on there that i was systematically buying.

Am i alone or is wiggle known for epic fails?!

Hmmm.

Until recently had good service from them.

However, I exchanged e-mails with them just over two weeks ago on a new 3T seatpost and stem which they stated on their website would take 2-5 days to come in to stock for the seatpost but in stock for the stem. Quick responses assuring me that they could not give a precise date but they would definitely have them soon - I had checked with them because I know the main UK importer (Jim Walker) was quoting May sometime. Fingers crossed they'll both arrive for Easter.

So the stem turns up in a couple of days and then nothing. Chased them Tuesday re the seatpost - a couple of emails both ways on Tuesday saying they would come back with to me with an update on delivery when they had contacted the importer - yes Jim Walker. Didn't hear from them yesterday or today - have emailed them to cancel the order as I haven't heard from them and asking them for a refund on the stem as they have failed to complete the order.

Have now sourced FSA seatpost and stem via UK Bike Store - who you can reach on the 'phone. Having ordered this morning they should arrive tomorrow - as the order was over £100 next day courier delivery was £1. Will let you have an update in due course.

Looking forward to finishing off my new steed this weekend.

Never had any problems from them myself.

The bt phonebook website has the following listed, don't know if you'll get any success but got to be worth a try.

Yes, I have had problems. Well, more specifically with City Link - who they insist on using for deliveries. If you can get away with getting stuff delivered to work it might be OK, but I have never successfully received a delivery at home from City Link. Admittedly I haven't tried very many times.

At least when Royal Mail can't deliver something, then it's 10 minutes out of my way on the way into work. To get something from the City Link depot takes, in my experience, 3 hours.

On some stuff (e.g. Garmin Edge 705) GB's with the discount are the same price or cheaper. And you can have the shiny thing now and take it home with you. For things that aren't likely to be in stock in a shop, or consumables though I can see the point of the intarwebs.

I notice Chain Reaction use Royal Mail. Has anyone used them?

Same experience as Phil. Wiggle good, City Link bad. I think they only use a courier for orders over £100. For cheaper stuff Wiggle use Royal Mail which is fine.

Always found Chain Reaction to be good.

the only problem i've had with wiggle is that of late they have been bombarding me with emails urging me to spend more money .. every other week there's a "mega discount deal" of some kind

Always found them to be really good. I have noticed that they do not always carry stock - but a few month ago I got a £30 voucher because they processed an order on some Ritchey Evo SL handlebars that they could no longer source. They will send out stuff when they have it though meaning you can end up with three boxes and not just one which adds more courier risk... They always return e-mail and just this morning I decided to stop an order I placed for a BB a few weeks ago and by this afternoon I had a refund. They are very good at taking stuff back - even a stem I had bought 8 months previous and decided not to fit! Can't seem to remove myself from their constant add-mail though.

Wiggle's been good for me. Bought something recently which was considerably cheaper than anywhere else on-line and it arrived within 48hours

... so the promised update

Received my parts from UK Bike Store as promised - all present and correct by courier at work.

So I decided to finish the bike build - only to discover the 11-25 cassette ordered from Wiggle a few weeks ago and marked as such on the bag it arrived in was actually a 12-27. So it has to go back to Wiggle and my new steed is not finished yet.
