Dave you looked good in last weeks comic and 8) too 8). Are you any closer to Alex and did the testing help lots :?:

Yeh I enjoyed that piece too. I think it wasn't clear though, at what stage the test was aborted - it said RPE of 6, but also that the riders stopped when they couldn't go any higher. So it wasn't a test to exertion, but only to determine LT wasn't it?

Testing was interesting. Consisted of 2 parts, some machine that did a body composition analysis, worked out:
- protein composition
- mineral composition
- body fat mass
- skeletal mass
- lean mass for right arm, left arm, trunk, right leg, left leg

And then a static bike test to work out heart rate and lactate v intensity. Consisted of them increasing the power every 3 minutes until until the blood lactate levelled off. Would have managed a higher power output, but had done 180km with Adam the day before.

Have been training with power and have done a couple of max tests before and after this one, figures are getting better and getting feed back into my training rides.
