MTB Skills n Training Day

Postby Snoop Doug » Fri Apr 23, 2010 8:17 am

Hey folks

Is anyone interested in me organising a session with the folk @ Astounding Adventures down @ Surrey Hills? Some skills and refresher training? They did wonders for me a few weeks back and the course I went on was very mixed ability so they cater for all comers.

No commitments but if people could post here if interested and outline what they would like to cover I'll try and work out a good deal for us. This will cost money - and trust me - it's worth it! I think they charge around £60 per head for a 4 hour session but if we can get a few folk interested I'll see if there's any flex on that.

Cheers - Snoop

Potentially interested. However when you say the group was very mixed ability, how mixed? I am sure they can teach me to do a few things better but i have no intention of spending money to be in a "comprehensive" group with total beginners

I understand that you rode with Dannielle. Before taking up road riding I used to ride withAll biked up and there was a tall lady with the same name who was just starting skills training and was learning the ropes with Richard, Glen et al from All biked up.

They offer a variety of courses and guided rides for all abilities. Check them out, the courses may be better suited.

Nice to see some quick feedback thanks. There are a number of courses available so to Dombo's good point - what would folk like from a session like this. I think if we can find 6 or so interested people who have vaguely similar needs it's worth a chat with Danielle. They're good people and I'm sure they'd work with us to make this fun. They do some quite advanced singlettrack which I'm looking at tempting eh....

Keep it coming folks

Faster on tight singletrack would be my main interest, and being able to pull and ride a wheely.
My other issue is just a question of bottle - eg I've never been able to go down Deliverance :(

I'm interested and sounds like my needs are rather similar to Dombo's. Also need more confidence in the air and on tricky steep downs.
