Track Pump

Postby Keith » Wed Apr 14, 2010 9:20 pm

I've just got around to repairing the puncture from Saturday's ACC race and my track pump's self-destructed.

Has anyone any reccomendations for a replacement?
So far I'm considering an Innovations Top Dog ST Track Pump with Gauge Deluxe or a Topeak Joe Blow Sport II. Both are around the £30 mark.

i've got the Joe Blow and it's very good, works as you want it too and feels very well made.

I had a Joe Blow, but it was stolen from my garage and then suffered terminal injury as a result of the ensuing police search of suspect's premises.

That's what they told me anyway. Not sure if Joe was resisting arrest.

Thanks for the opinions guys. Bought the Joe Blow. According to the shop, they use one in their workshop, so that's another pretty good endorsement.

I had a Silca years ago; my first track pump. Absolutely hated it. Horrible, primitive, fiddly design that was a pain to use. Problem was it was so well built that it took ten years to break, after which I could at last justify a new track pump. Now much happier with my Joe Blow.

So did you go for the Joe Blow Sport II in the end Keith? Or maybe the Joe Blow Ace, or the Joe Blow Pro, the Joe Blow Turbo, Joe Blow Sprint? The Joe Blow Sport maybe? What about the Joe Blow Mountain, and lest we forget the Joe Blow Max II!

Yes Sylv, I bought the Topeak Joe Blow Sport II. Seems to do the job nicely.
