CR 24th April

5pm Sunday and nothing about the regular Club Run?

In the spirit of alternative rides, the Training Group was a little different this week. Rather than the typical big turns on the front, there were far more attacks. Rob W, for example, appeared to have stopped for a double espresso on the ride down to CSS. By the time we'd got to the lay-by, the through and off was was slow to form - usually a sign of a weary legs in the group. When it did get going, a bunch of about a dozen riders meant for a decent rest between turns. At the end of the dual carriageway, DK fired up the 125cc motor he's got secreted somewhere in that Colonago frame of his :D. A little traffic on the approach to Charlwood stopped any lead out, and it came down to a straight sprint from the last turn. I doubt there was much more than a Zipp rim width in it by the line - nice new wheels Steve  .

If the sun continues, I'll be dusting down the 250cc :)

I was so fresh from hiding at the back all the way I thought I might be with a chance to beat the sprinters. Close but no cigar.
