Frame advice

Having broken it one too many times I am having to replace my carbon Bianchi frame. I am on a budget, however, a trip to Butler's at the weekend resulted in a recommendation from them of a Planet X SL Carbon (http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/bikes/q ... -carbon/12) which they are doing for just under £450. It sounds to me like a good deal for a well known make - but what do others think? Any thoughts?

If you want a plastic bike then PX are good VFM. I know a few people who have and are happy with that bike. I think prices may be /have come down a bit as they are clearing for their new Nano frames.

I love mine.
It is my first 'proper' road bike so I don't have much to compare it too, but it's really light and nothing really compares to it in terms of value if you want a carbon frame and fork.
I bought the complete bike with the new Ultegra (the one in your link above). I've swapped a few parts and tweaked the set-up over the past 6 months and PX have always been helpful and good with exchanges.
Only gripe I have with the kit is that the Ultegra chain is rubbish. They are no longer suppling them on their Ultegra spec version, they supply a KMC instead. I sent mine back and they sent me a dura-ace replacement.
On the bike Radar review some of the comments mention issues with the front end, but I've never had any issues.

Sounds like the front end issues they had were to do with the fork. If you have this issue then just switch to a differnt fork whic gives the feel and stability you want and flog the PX one on ebay. Depends what you will use it for too, I suspect it was stronger riders hammering it out of corners and nailing it at race effort that found the "issue".

I had a Planet-X Superlight Team frame (aluminium main triangle, carbon stays and P-X branded carbon forks) which suffered from speed wobble.

Apart from that it was great, but I got rid of it to some eBay punter (I didn't mention the speed wobble, or the big crash at Hillingdon when I broke my arm ).
