[quote="Mike I"]So, Hal's ride apart, what is the plan for Saturday?

It's on the website home page. Have to laugh eh, the advance notice and PR for this should be everywhere no? Or is perhaps just posting it in one place.....no, I won't go there

To be fair I should probably have made sure that the message was on the forum as well, but then anyone can post here, so shouldn't be an issue.

Unfortunately I don't have enough time to join the ride to Brighton - are others around for a 19/20 group run out along the usual CR route?

Great ride today. amazing weather, couldn't be better. :D

Had a good blast down the other side of Ditchling with Steve B, felt good to get the legs working after a leisurely ride down with the 18's.

Didn't stop for lunch as met her indoors for ice cream and a stroll along the sea front.

Hope everyone had a good ride back, the train was lovely

The ride out to Brighton today was great and finally we had some fantastic weather to compliment the ride. I would like to say a big thanks to everyone in my group especially the group leaders John, Jon CC on a Bianchi as well as Sam and Alan for having patience with me on the hills. I know I’ve left some people off this list who were also a great help for me throughout the ride but please forgive me as I am totally rubbish with remembering names.

Great ride today, only felt half as far as I thought it would  Thanks Hal for sorting the route, and thanks to everyone in the group for making the ride such a good 'un. Hope everybody made it home safe and happy, and with the obligatory stoopid tan-lines :D

We had a group of 8 for the slightly alternative route down to Brighton. Mike, Rotherham Steve, Lee, Nic, Ignias (sp), Dan and Graham. Up farthing down, though to Outwood, accross past Weirwood Resivoir, Horstead Keynes, Slugwash Lane and on up Ditchling Beacon.

Sorry to Nick who punctured on a large pot hole just before Ditchling beacon, Thanks to Ignias for waiting. The rest of us we were waiting at the top but some reluctance for volunteers to go back down and see where you were, especially with the stream of ACC groups comming up the road. Hope you got back ok.

Nice stop at the Cafe for pasta.

Smaller group on the return just 4 of us in the end, Dan, Lee and Ignias. With a shortened lunch break we had some tired legs in the group so after Devils Dyke, Spronkets lane we made a refuleling stop at Handcross post office. This held us all together and Dan towed us back on to Faygate, Charlwood and a standard club run return. No legs for anything more adventurous.

Back home by 5 for a bath and some heavy rehudration. This was my longest ride by a long shot since July last year!

Stats:
102 miles
6hrs 3mins
Ave 16.9
Max 49
no sunburn :o

Thanks guys.
