ECCA 50, 22/05/10

A nice warm afternoon yesterday made a change from chilly Sunday mornings.
Just me and PVT riding for Addiscombe, and George flying the flag (literally) by fullfilling an ECCA marshalling duty.

Could have been a bit calmer on the wind front, but nothing to really grumble about. Pretty much average to good conditions for the E2 course; tailwind for 5 miles to Fourwentways, headwind up to Red Lodge where George was grinning as usual and had our big banner set up in the middle of the roundabout, tailwind back to 4WW, and headwind back to the finish at Six Mile Bottom.

2:04:33 for me, fastest 50 since 2007 so pretty pleased with that.

PVT pulled one out of the bag with a 2:02:57, 10 minutes faster than last week on the F1.

Well done I wouldn't have fancied a 50 in a pointy hat in that heat. PVT must get better when it's hot 8) .
