I'm not saying that Lance is cheating or lying. Its just that that argument is very weak at best.

If proof is not traceable then it is not proof, just hearsay. And as "drink driver" is by definition somebody who has been
convicted of drink-driving then he would not be so if he had indeed managed to avoid the police for 10 years. Only once caught and convicted could he then be punished for his crime.
That is why we have laws, rules of evidence, courts and juries, rather than ducking stools and mobs with pitchforks. Of course, you may not like due process when it does not produce the result you want, but one day you may be glad of it.
