Andrew Green's Fifa World Cup Football Thread

Thanks Andrew, Some of you maybe aware that there's a little football competition taking place in South Africa this month and it starts tomorrow. England 's opener against America is this Saturday. :D Mmm... I'm ever the hopeful England fan so lets see what happens. Interestingly I haven't noticed too many England flags this time around but I was at the England V Mexico friendly at Wembley and it was a real carnival atmosphere. Come on England!!

My thread :? . Agree with Elliot, get to specsavers there's loads of the tacky things attached to cars in misguided optimism.

England have an easy group which should give them an easy second round, then they're likely to meet someone who can play football and go out. Spain to win, beating Portugal in the final. There you go, off to the bookies with you Toks  .

My eyes are fine dude. I'm not saying there aren't a lot of flags I'm just saying there aren't as many. Obviously I'm talking about my neck of the woods, lovely Islington, and I'm comparing with 2006

Remember the theory that Belgium was a country invented expressly as a place where England and Germany could fight thier wars without damaging the infrastructure of either country   .

I like the subversive campaign being waged on the internets:

Or going back even further a place where Britain, France , Spain, Holland, Irish and Germans could all fight together without damaging their countries.

Prediction : Spain v Brazil in the final with both Argentina and France going out in the semis to hand ball goals  (I can dream I guess)

Agreed. As I said last time I know precisely which team will win.
It will be the team that gets away with the most cheating.

And most recent Premier League Champions if you look at the ex-Hammers in Man Utd and Chelsea's teams. Defoe knocking them in for Spurs and I expect 'Arry will be after Cole now Chelsea are letting him go. If you want to succeed get some Hammers in your team, just a shame they don't all do it together when they have the claret and blue on.

I don't think it's faith you've got Jon it's delusion.
