[quote="marco"]He's back riding? Wow!

Yep, today was his comeback race. He's been posting on the TT forum for about a year or so and been drawn back to the bike after about a 15 year break of not looking at one. I think from memory he said he quit smoking, started riding again to shift some weight, and then decided to start racing again so started training. He spoke to Cammish at Planet X and bought a TT bike and a matching pink carbon pro road bike.

Just likes to stand out from the crowd. BTW he's a former National Champ of numerous times with over 50 National medals to his name. Rode track, TT, and road and represented Britain at the LA Olympics.

Much the same just with grey hair and a bit thicker round the middle than in his prime. There was a snapper on the course so if I find the pics in a few days then I'll post one.

He was a great character back in the early and mid 80's. Really made time trialling sexy.
He was phenomenally talented...no one could touch him in his prime at 10's, 25's and 50's as well as hill climbs.
I think if he'd been less volatile and was prepared to dope, he could have made a big splash on the continent.
He rode with Teka for a while, if memory serves.
