Well, all the hard work's been done and I depart on my trip to Paris tomorrow.
Seems like it's come around so fast. Think that i've done enough and am ready now. Felt weird writing my blog today, almost like a weight being lifted off my shoulders.

Going Dover - Calais and then we're heading along the coast and down to Amiens and then from Amiens to Paris.

Must be a pretty standard route.
We're starting at Big Ben tomorrow and then heading SE to Dover and on Thurs we're hugging the coast a bit more but I reckon day 3 is identical.
Looks like the Hot Chillee one is well organised.
Because we've sorted everything ourselves, it's been a bit "fun" at times. Had a few dramas but it's helped to get to know people before the off as we've had to chat regularly to get things like hotels etc booked.
Sure it won't run as smoothly as the Hot Chillee one but will be equally rewarding.
You all set now?

We're aiming on leaving Big Ben around 7.30am to give us plenty of time to get down to Dover for the evening ferry. I'll be representing the Addiscombe of course so wave if you're passing!

Yeah, I think whoever said Northern France is flat was lying! No steep climbs though. Steady grinds I can handle. 20% + are a struggle.
Will be interesting to see how our group of 23 splits tomorrow. I've got a feeling there will be small groups of 5-8 riders.
