The best club TT ever!

Postby George » Sun Jun 20, 2010 3:31 pm

15 mph tailwind :D
Beautriful sunny day :D
No Turn :D
Breakfast on the beach :D
Traffic lights all green :D
Course Record :D

Rode the Kingston Phoenix point to point club time trial this morning with Paul H and a few of his Tri club mates.

46 miles Kingston to Worthing 6.am in the morning with breakfast on the seafront sounds like an offer we couldn't refuse.

I started 2 minutes ahead of top seeded road race ace Gary Dodd and hoped he wouldn't catch me.

The course was just basically stright down the A24 through Chesington, Leatherhead, Box hill then down the Holmwood 10 course, the Broadbridge heath 25 course and then down the Ashington 100 course over the downs at Washington and a fast run in to Worthing :D

The first half was a little lumpy around box hill but managed to do a 58 for the first 25miles :D

Then it was really fast with the tailwind really helping on the dc for the rest of the course.

Once over Washington hill it was around 5 miles all downhill to the finish whoopee!!

George 1.44.05 new course record :D :D
Paul H 1.51.34 toptastic :D
Gary Dodd 1.48.24 previous record holder

Liar George you said you were only doing 10s and 25s this season :D .

A tailwind TT sounds nice though, could do with some of that with this continuing northerly that won't go away.

George you speedy demon, Chapeau. By the way you're only allowed to use 'the best ever' in the thread title if you're riding against international pros  :D
