I gotta be honest I switched over to the Cycling (National Road Race Champs)once the score when up to 3-1. That was so bad the way we conceded those goals - simply ruderless and clue less . I listen to 'Talksport' quite a bit and this German comedian was asked for a score prediction - pretty much every one to a man before him, pundits and callers a like suggested 2-0 or 2-1 to England. Imagine their shock when he confidently predicted it would be 5-1 to Germany. The presenters pretty much laughed him off the program and told him to get lost.

I detected a certain air of despondency round Hackbridge late afternoon, so I decided to check the headlines... sure enough

Well, I didn't waste the afternoon watching it either, instead I wasted it in the garden building a rabbit enclosure for our rabbit. I could roughly follow the score anyway by all the oohh! and aahhs! going on all around us. It was nice and quiet evening at least.
