Saturday night fever on the F20/10 course; event started at 6.30, I wasn't off until 8.02.
This is one of the two courses on which I've gone under 21 minutes, so I had my fingers crossed for a good time.
As I was warming up I thought the wind direction would mean a headwind on the way out and a tailwind back.
So, I was quite happy with 23mph up the first drag then 29/30mph for big chunks of the way out. After the turn I realised my meteorology was on a par with Michael Fish's hurricane forecasting, and there was a headwind all the way back. As the speed started dropping my mind wandered off the job in hand and onto saving my legs for the 100 the next day. I think I eased off a bit, and crossed the line in 23 minutes dead. Not quite what I was aiming for, but my second fastest 10 this season.
