Beastway round 8

We've not seen Serge at Beastway for a few weeks

But, a cracking result for another agreeable - Peter St Amour took second in Masters and 9th overall in round 8, this should give his series standing a good boost.

Come and cheer him on next week for our promotion of Beastway round 9.

He's probably preparing specifically for the National Champs next weekend where he could well end up on the podium.

I did pre-enter that too, but later got a call from someone telling me I couldn't take part because I'm French. (didn't seem to matter last year)

It's probably just as well, having spent the best part of four weeks being properly sick.

I did see Peter's result well done to him. I saw yours too Grahame "novice"!

That's 'cos I've been spending every race this year as a roving marshall. I need to start last, so I can close off the starting spur for the course, divert the course into the finishing chicane for lap scoring, and then spend the rest of the evening repairing any breaks to the course marking before waiting on the bell lap for the winner to come through and take the chequered flag, when I ride round letting the marshals know that they can start taking the course down.

I also thought it was funny to "progress" from the experts class last year to the novices this.
