I quite like Marco's idea of an early ferry and train. I think I can negotiate a 'team car' to get to Dover and back. Anyone up for it?

I'm trying to figure out an excuse why I cannot take my daughter and her friends to Chessington on Sunday but go to Paris instead. I've mentioned it to my wife who gave me that stare.

I may have the use of a flat 200m from the Champs - if we wanted to store the bikes & have a shower - will check first thing this morning.

I realised after posting that the trip didn't involve bikes - thought Calais-Paris was 100 miles tops!
