Long shot ... but

Postby Steve B » Sat Jul 24, 2010 3:34 pm

Has anyone got any 1st generation 'Campag Record' (EARLY 60's) equipment lurking in the back of a garage, or tucked away in a box somewhere, or indeed on a vintage bike they want to sell. Maybe your dad has an old bike thats not used anymore or you know someone who has an old record clad steed hanging up in a garage :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:.

I've been trawling ebay but its damn hard work. I thought I'd ask here and see, its worth a try.

Thanks in advance

Sorry not got any, ebay is the best bet but just requires patience. Keep an eye out for cycle jumbles as well as they are a good source.

Try Mr PVT??
Or , and this isn't being funny, and i know i'm in Australia,!!! if it's something you desperately need, the shop i use has loads of older/ vintage 60s 70s campag, the owner used to race in belgium, and is really into all the older stuff, steel frames, renovation etc, you can let me know and i'll have a word!

Stuff like this Steve?

Sorry, that's not for sale, but I think I've got a Valentino rear mech somewhere ('entry level' and a bit rudimentary), some 5-speed sprockets and a Brooks saddle. I'll have a rummage and see what else is in the garage.

Nigel at Campyoldy has loads of unused stuff - good quality usually, but not cheap.

Yeah, quite like that Mike

Looked at Campyoldy, nothing from the 1st gen Record.

Gary, might have to take you up on that offer, cheers
