Re: Mario Vaz
Used to work at Holdsworth. He has done 3 resprays for me - all decent, at about £45 a go. He also put some track ends on an old Pearsons frame for me a few years ago, and resprayed the frame and lug-lined it nicely last year. On the down side, the gold 'Pearson' decals/lettering strip thingies he put on it were old, and bubbled/cracked when applied - he offered to strip and replace for free, but I couldn't be faffed to trek out to Hither Green again, so am putting up with them for now. His workhop is worth a visit just to see the classic frames he has hanging there - Hetchins etc. - being restored( I suppose a recommendation in itself). He keeps some bottom brackets in stock too.
In brief - a very nice bloke. Not a cyclist. Can't fault the paint jobs, but he needs to be told exactly what is required. Certainly the cheapest around.
