Agree with LeeS. Wasn't he the same director that did Memento? Load of pretentious old w@nk.

Give me Michael Mann (Heat, Collateral, Manhunter) any day.

Or Cy Endfield (Zulu, now there's a film, look you)

As for Toy Story 3 - absobloodylutely brilliant. And yes, I did have something in my eye at the end.

I think you'll find that was Paul Greengrass. A wonderful tool, the internet.

I grant you the Dark Knight was good, as was the excellent Insomnia with Al Pacino, who also starred in Heat.

We could play this all day :D

Heat was also a load of poop. And the Bourne films were far too complicated for my liking.

Collateral - fantastic Movie. Tom Cruise at his best and Jamie Fox weren't too bad either :) 8)

Poop? Poop? In what way? Plot? Action scenes (bank robbery shootout raised the bar and has not been bettered). Dialogue (diner scene)? Cinematography? We may have to disagree on this one, Lee.

Ronin? Now there's a car chase and a half.

Ronin was on the other night and I forgot to record it but from I remember is was quite a good film. The only problem is De Niro. Why he has been lauded so much for his acting I don't . Every character is the same and even in the Fokker films he had something to do with secret whatever. And Heat was useless . I've tried to watch it twice and got to the same point and dropped off . Now Jim Carrey - what an actor. If you discount his last four or five films and anything before Dumb and Dumber he is very consistant . Now theres versatility . Unlike De Niro.

I was thinking the same about your good self. Did you pluck 87% out the sky or was that worked out?
Apart from sweating is there much to do in Singapore?
Anyway who can argue that Me ,Myself and Irene is not one of the greats.Unless of course you happen to be a schizophrenic.

Fair enough . I'll try another one. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Tell me you don't wet yourself when Steve Martin is having his legs whipped sitting in the wheelchair.

I grant you Heat is a little grown-up and rewards concentration. Your opinion of Jim Carrey however at least lets us place your others in context.
