I've just finished a year long project converting an old steel Pinarello to fixed. I took it out for a spin at the weekend and heard a light knocking sound . To my dismay the right crank is skimming the chainstay, particularly under load.
I've got a Miche Primato chainset with track bottom bracket. It didn't even occur to me that there wouldn't be enough clearance (Duh!) as there was only 1 choice for the Miche BB (107mm). However, looking on wiggle at other BBs there appears to be choice of width.
Can I just get a wider BB to resolve the problem? Or is that too simple? Anyone had similar problems?
Cheers.
