First Cyclo Cross Race of the Seson

Well, this is interesting...

Unfortunately I won't be back in England until October, however, I am really tempted to ride some cross this winter.

The main problem, I don't have a cross bike! Does anyone have a spare cross bike going that I may beg, steal or borrow?

Good fun but I found it pretty painful! And that's not talking of the scratches I have everywhere from overtaking though the brambles.
There was some confusion at the start when someone in charge of the course tape sent us the wrong way round the course

Winner Jules Birkes followed by Kevin Knox who later punctured

Alec Briggs was leading early on but had a mechanical

Young guy from Hargroves had a cracking start but later faded and I was able to pass him

Which left my trying (and failing) to keep up with Andy Waterman to fight for 2nd place

While being chased by another mtb Mulebar who almost caught me by the end

Keith put his lights on I thought there was a motorbike on the course!
