I take it with last year's LEJOG and this you're going to be doing the National 24 startsheet next year seeing as it's local :D .

Fantastic ride Marcus I'm dead jelous. I'd love to have a go at an epic like that.
Next time you plan something like this let me know I'd love to join you, unless of course you don't want me to come ;)

Thanks guys and thanks to those of you who have generously sponsored me as well - The Children's Trust does a lot of good work, not just for local kids in Tadworth but for very ill children across the country.

As for what's next Hal and Andy, I'm not planning to do a 24 or a 12 and tbh I don't really like riding on dual carriageways which I did quite a lot of in LEJOG and E2L24. I am doing a 12hr MTB team race (Torq 12:12) on Sunday though. I'm mainly planning to go very fast over short distances over the next few weeks 8) , now that I've recovered from the Scottish ride. Not sure about any future epics though - I'll see what James comes up with, but we've managed 2 long rides without a hitch and a 3rd may be tempting fate.

In 2011 I do plan to ride Transalp again though and this time I'll be able to train for it at least, unlike last time's last minute entry.

George - sorry I didn't think of you as you would have been a useful asset. I did try to ask an ex-rower and Special K if they would come along, but they both declined in the end. I'm certain that next year I will at least do a 200+ mile ride at some point as it's nice to get out on the bike for a long ride in which case I'll give you plenty of warning.

If you want to know the route, I'd be happy to share it with you. We had some advice from John Warnock who rode it a couple of years ago, although he took a much more scenic (and longer route) with his group of 6 which did it in 36hours. I reckon if George and Dave had been with us we could have done the city limits to city limits target within 21hrs though........
