Thanks all.

Hal

We should be OK with 11 but if anyone else wants to come you'll be very very welcome. Remember to tell me you're coming to be eligible for your £5 marshals reward.

Could you arrive by 6.30pm please. I'll be there from around 6.15/6.20ish. If you've not been before then a map is here: http://www.cocgb.dircon.co.uk/cry_pal_park.htm

The racing takes place around the concert bowl and the sign-on and marshals jackets will be just below the number 9 marked on the map. The organiser will provide us with marshal jackets and flags and will tell us where he wants us to stand (basically at points around the circuit where other footpaths join). Your role is to alert other park-users to the fact there's a race on and ask them to keep dogs/kids under control and to keep to the edge of the track or preferably off the track. If they need to cross then help them choose a safe gap between riders. Racing will finish approx 8.30 depending on light.

If it's raining there'll be no racing.

Thanks v much everyone.

hi Tamar, I will pop over to help out if I can't race. I crashed (again) on Saturday and have a sore chest, knee, elbow. Peter St Amour has also offered his services for marshalling.

Lots of ACC out to marshal, and George plus the Shadow meant looking good for a fine race. Too damp down the bottom corner and the commissaire he say no.

We watched the juniors - Mark McLaughlin Keira and I had the hairpin turn. Second race was a cracker, tiny little guy in a green strip rode very smartly, cornered well and took a well deserved win. Shelled out a fit looking kid approx twice his size.

Impressed.

Keira was bowled over with her marshal's fiver - cor!!!!

Nice to see everyone - shame we didn't get the hatrick for our man though eh?

Bummer, just missed peeps by mere minutes. According to Steve the Shadow, everyone left about 10 to 8 - just as I was walking up from the station

Saw one Addiscombe guy - got into a white volvo and drove off just as I was coming up behind...

Oh well, took a chance and it was nice looking out over London from such a high spot :)

There was one in each race (same kit) - pretty sure the one in race 1 was lapped, pretty sure the one in race two wasn't. If he was, it was a bit cheeky to raise his arms like that over the finish line no? :?

Good technique regardless 8)

Great turnout of marshals....but sadly, as mentioned above, the main circuit was not fit to race on so we had 16 marshals covering 3 marshal points...I hope no-one felt they'd been dragged out on false pretences....if the racing had gone ahead on the full circuit it would have been a different story.

And at least it meant there was a good ACC crowd to see Shadow pick up his prize for being speediest 3/4 cat (I think that's what he won...the loud speaker mangled the words a bit). Well done Steve!
