Hi Jon, I did get home ok tnx, however very unfortunately, I took a much bigger hit than I realised on Sat, it WAS a Radiul Fracture, I found out on Sunday, which will put me out of action for at least a couple of months, I am covered in bruises in my lower body, I have more damage than the bike, see Orthopaedic tmr, sadly I will miss my J4fUN on Sat :( ,

After conquering Ditchling Beacon, the fab weather, company and riding, and nice compliments from Smiley about my technique, I just got a little carried away & it was all too much 50yrds, from Base Regency, :D However getting back to Nonnas was the perfect end for me, Ignorance is bliss - sometimes..............

P.s I am sending out a search party for the kind and sweet agreeable soul, who stopped for me and stayed with me until I assured him I was ok, did not get his name, what a way to go, see you all soon :(

Dear jon,

Don't worry about laughing, I did not know myself at that stage, that just before we got to the Regency, I got my wheel tangled in the back of Iliyas, and panicked and went down falling onto the handlebars, when I got up I felt ok and as you know rode back, however I was a little worried and had an
X Ray the next day, Today I saw the Dr. again, who has confirmed two head radiul fractures, ( in elbow ) he is delighted about how I am dealing with it :P , I actually have to keep moving it, I'm not in cast, just on a lot of Diclofenec, which really really helps, Dr. said I can actually go back cycling next week :D :D :D , (however I am gonna decide about that), and I do a check up XR in three weeks, so alls well that ends well, looking forward to Captains Coastal 2011 :D :D :D Thank you for your agreeable post, it is highlty appreciated, B.T.W Keiths bonking was beneficial to me, It gave me plent'y of little breaks - if you will excuse the pun! .... so I salute him, loved your photos,, I hope to come back on one of Snoops little Switzerland tours :D

As Jon said, 50 miles with a broken elbow. Ouch, hard as nails. Hope you mend quickly and are back on the bike soon.

Hi Rachel

I'm sorry to hear about your elbow and I hope you get better soon and to see you on back on CRs!! How did you manage to cycle back to Croydon (or did you cycle all the way home) I don't understand?!

Jon - I also did all four Brighton runs this season. :o)

Hi Iliya, Thanks for your agreeable post, I cycled back with the pack, to Nonnas for coffee and cake, not knowing at that point I had a fracture, I thought it was a sprain, then two of the pack, Enjoyable John, and Grant,, dropped me at E.Croydon St, Xray next day showed the fracture, Dr's are pretty amazed as well, see them again next Fri, - its true grit  ! B.T.W hows your back wheel Iliya?......... I note you did not mention to Jon that one of your four was a complete round trip due to Nicks puncture, you deserve a medal for that alone, look forward to seeing you all again very soon, gonna miss the Box Hill sorties, very best regards, Rachel.

Hi Rachel

I was going to keep the round trip to Brighton and back as a reserve "show off ticket" but now you've revealed it :)

Anyway, I hope the fracture is healing and you can cycle again. I'm going to miss the next two CR but Riina might be there. She sends you regards by the way.

Take care!
