We're up for this as we sadly missed the last one. How come a thread about drinking is one of the longest on the forum?

Bar R is at the South end of South End

Not sure if this will link you to the map but give it a try - there is a municipal car park closer to Croydon on same East side of road at £3

Thankee for this bounty of fine information. I be confused for most maps I read be treasure maps, arrr. Ye arrow points to ye Library on Katharine Street. But yer words make me think ye Bar R is nearer ye Blue Anchor.

Be I correct?

This is the same night as a cyclist darts league match.....Addiscombe versus Norwood Paragon.

What do people think of changing the venue to the King & Queen in Caterham on the Hill to lend a bit of support to the ACC darts team?

Tamar, my main hesitation is quite selfish and related to transport. A short bus ride home from S Croydon means that I can drink to excess with relative impunity whereas Caterham is a bit of a mission - but I will probably follow the masses if a common view emerges.

Cheers

I know - Caterham really isn't such a convenient location. But it would be very agreeable to support our darts team...hopefully as they thrash Paragon.

I will be sober (new year resolution) and therefore driving so can offer up to 4 people a lift home to Croydon/Crystal Palace kind of area if that helps.

Tamar! Sober! This is terrible news, I was just planning a fancy dinner and wine tasting for you and Reynolds.

Is this still on then, or is everybody off to watch the arrows in Caterham?

As far as I know it's on and at Bar R (Rendezvous - see what they've done?) in South Croydon. I'm all for supporting the darts team, hell I've even played for them, but Caterham is a bit of a trek (pun intended) on a school night. And this time I must remember not to go back to Tamar's flat to see her ginea pig!
