Congratulations to Paul Hone for coming 27th overall and taking a BRONZE medal in his age group at the above championships. An improvement on last year Paul? Will modesty allow a write up I wonder?

Yes very well done paul, i thought i saw you as a silver finish too when i looked last night?
My race didn't go so well in the 40-44 AG- into T1 in a solid 6th position after the 1st 10k run which i did in 33.28 down about 40 secs on the lead pack,got into 5th on bike then around 20k got bad cramps in the left calf and stomach lost all power in the legs started to get overtaken lots so climbed of the bike a beaten man. Thanks paul for coming over and lending me your warming oil!
My AG despite getting on in life was extremely competitive with the gold and silver positions getting a 6th and 7th overall out of the whole AG's
Thats two world duathlon events i've had bad races at-3rd time lucky!
Still, i smashed my 10k pb and really enjoyed what i did of the hilly course around arthurs seat and of course loved Edinburgh
