Chain lubricants

What is a good chain lubricant that when you have finished your ride it isn't all black and needs to be cleaned. I've used the wax one also but it don't seem to last before the chain starts to squeak. also the finish line wet and dry.

I'll probably get shot down for this but I just keep the chain as clean as possible and spray GT80 on after every ride or couple of rides.

Found GT80 ok, but needs to be applied every ride!

I have wondered, what with the price of lube, degreaser etc. whether it's actually cheaper to just throw away the chain every fortnight.

Next thing I'm going to try for cleaning is paraffin. Someone on YACF recommended it cos it's very cheap. Tried a waxy lube but that was just a dirt-magnet so using finish-line dry at the moment.

I still haven't tried the chain and cassette in the dishwasher. I think it could work but it might be an idea to rinse off the salt after.
