Hello, anyone fancy joining me for a night ride over Reigate Hill / Gatton Park / Banstead Heath on Wednesday night?

Meet at the Reigate Hill Car Park Reigate Hill Car Park at around 19:00 for a 2 hour-ish ride. We could start a little later if 19:00 is pushing it a little?

Jamie

Anyone else?

Still planning on going. Based on this mornings ride on and around the North Downs Way it will be a good chance to have some fun on some slippy, wet, chalky mud!

Should be good! :D

Sorry Jamie, I won't be able to make it out there for 7.30.

I would be on for one that starts around Coulsdon/Farthing Downs though.

Okay, that sounds good Aodan. Shall we meet by the cattle grid nearest Coulsdon at the bottom of Farthing Downs at 7:30pm? We can head over farthing downs and do a little of the North Downs Way then back again?

Wet, Wet, Wet (But fun). Much better once I had let some air out of my tyres and gained some grip on the shiny roots.
Thanks Aodan, I hope your light saw you home safe?

I got home OK, even cleaned the bike in a bit of road flooding on the way back. I don't know what happened that light, it seems OK now, but I'll carry a back-up next time. Sorry it was such a short ride but I was feeling a real amateur with the combination of slippy roots, wet glasses and ahem ... dubious balance.

I'm glad your light is okay. I was out for two hours all in all, quite enough in that weather. Looking forward to the next one!
