And I bet every cyclist that uses it stops at every sign and dismounts.

Yet more brainless planning undertaken with zero thought.

[quote="marco"]Rules are rules, you GOTTA stop and dismount otherwise you're just the same as those guys who ride through red lights in town.

In the absence of any punctuation, it's a statement of fact, not an instruction. A bit like the signs on Tooting Common: "Cyclists ride slowly and give way to pedestrians". Indeed we do.

That is just truly stunning

It would be good to get the local councillor and/or planner to actually ride it and do what it says. You know the rumble strips that were down Woodmansterne Road through Carshalton Beeches. Local cyclists made the local councillor ride down them and after that some smooth strips appeared across them

But so long as the council can say that they have this amount of cycle path it doesn't matter what it's like

It p's me off that councils claim to have x thousand miles of cycle path without pointing out that the longest continuous section is 57 feet and contains two parked cars and 5 broken bottles.

I believe it's some bizarre conflict of interest legislation which states that nobody who designs cycles lanes is allowed to ride a bicycle ever.
