In relation to Contador, and Contador only, I'm just asking you to wait a while before you go tightening the noose.

Adam, this is our very own Matthew Hopkins you're pleading with. He'll have already kicked away the chair.

If and when he gets banned, then you can crucify him all you like. Is it so hard just to wait and see?

[quote="marco"] I tell you who I feel sorry for through all this - the spanish beef farmers as Sylv says. Their product and methods have been unfairly maligned by a single individual which could hit their revenues at a time when they are already feeling the effects of the recession. Has clenbuterol been found in any cows blood lately? No. Has clenbuterol been found in AC's blood lately? Yes. Now who's jumping to conclusions?!

I second Marco's proposal to farm and eat Alberto Contador to supply future dopers.

It might not harm sales of Spanish beef. If there was a way of eating loads of beef and getting thinner and faster ...

I strongly recommend the Mallorcan suckling pig served in El Parador in Reigate. As good as any I've had in Spain.

I watched Adam Blythe get his head kicked in on the final stage of the Circuit Franco Belge on Sunday. He held on to win the overall, as well as his two stage wins.

I suppose he's on it too, huh Marco?

If you really are in such a position of authority on all matters doping, why don't you go and get a job at WADA or UKAD? Or does web forum speculation not qualify as expertise?

This thread reminds me of the Floyd Landis one, before he confessed

Top and tailing his posts with "cool story bro" may make our resident Witchfinder General sound like an extra from The Wire, but that's as close to being an expert on drugs as he's likely to get

I find this hounding of Marco a little unfair for various reasons:

1. Marco is expressing an opinion. That's what this forum is for, amongst other things.
2. I don't recall Marco saying he "is" guilty. He has said that it doesn't look good for AC given the leaks in the media/official sources.
3. You are entitled to your opinions too.
4. If you're not happy with someone else's opinion that's tough, you should at least respect it.

For my part, I think there is something very fishy in this AC business and in cycling in general (we're talking about cycling remember not athletics, baseball etc). I think it is heathy discussion and shouldn't be stunted just because you don't like it or cannot see it form another's eyes.

Remember the choice is always yours.
