Does the commonwealth games count...

With all the troubles of these games there has been some great performances by the Brits even if the best in the world aren't there.

So a hearty congratulations to David Millar for his Gold in the TT and Alex Dowsett for a well deserved silver.

Julia shaw proves you are never too old, at 45 taking a Bronze, well done to her too. Unlucky for Emma Pooley but she is a world champion which is some condolence for her missing out on the medals.

I'd say so. Some of the top riders may not have been there but Millar was 2nd in the Worlds, Durbridge 2nd in the World U23, and Dowsett would have been challenging if he hadn't had such a balls up with his rear wheel, well the mechanic rather than the wheel.

Great to see Hutch get 4th and delighted to see Julia get a medal, she may be 45 but beats most men week in week out in the UK. In Nationals she'd have been in the top 15 in the men's events, she is amazing. Top work from the best domestic testers. Also nice to see a bit of retro with an out and back with a dead turn :D .
