Reminder: Tuesday Chaingang

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Seems like there is general agreement on spliiting into smaller groups.

I'm happy to volunteer to lead a group, but just as happy to be led.

If we have a number of people volunteer, then it shares the role around and makes sure we have enough to cover when people miss weeks.

I’m happy to volunteer or to be led too.

Cheers Del and Ilaya, it really should only be a matter of time before the group just naturally settles into a routine and a leader wont be necessary. This is what happens in the A group.....most of the time

Again I'd be happy(?) to lead but it might be the blind leading the blind.

Phil, can you just clarify PtP for me. Is it:

Phil the Power
or
Pie tasting Phil?

[quote="Sylv"]So you mean you're basically doing the whole ride on your own Marcus? Are you enjoying this? I don't think I would, at that time of day. Could there be a C group or something would that help?

If know one minds I prefer to ride with the B's and get dropped and keep going week after week until I make the round trip. Even when we split the B's next week I hope we do not go any slower. I think 19/20 average is a good pace and I'll try hard to maintain it.

I admit once dropped you don't push as hard and take a longer rest but I'm sure I've got a little stronger for trying to hold and will get a little stronger as the weeks go by.

Riding on my own at night doesn't scare me, there are less cars, we are more visible, the A23 is well lit, we know where most of the holes are so it makes for a good training ride.

Better to be out on the bike than in.
Bring on next week :D

Bounce.

It will be cold - because I've had most of my hair cut off and that always makes it turn cold.

I don't mind riding in the cold - it's the defrosting afterwards  I'm dying to get into the shower but I have to wait to warm up otherwise it's agony. Think I'm going to have to write to the manufacturers to see if they can design a THERMAL one

Sorry to hear that Amy. Hope you get better soon!

Weather forecast for today is heavy shower in the afternoon but should be clear skies after 19:00. Do we think we’ll be riding tonight?

Assuming it's not p'ing down, then yes, I intend to be out. Not sure how we're going to manage without a responsible adult but we'll try our best.
