Singapore National Road Time Trials Championship 07/11/2010

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Good luck Sean.

There was a pie graph in a magazine article at the cafe demonstrating how different parts (skin suit, areo bars, shoe covers, pointy hat, TT trame etc.) could improve your time. I think areo bars for £125 offered a 1min 30sec gain and shoe covers priced at £30 were 30 seconds gain.

I'm sure there are a few people here who could give you some pointers. The only advice I can give you is just go bloody fast.

Well done for giving it a go Sean and good luck with future races out there.

Figures quoted are often full of huge amounts of BS and everything is rider specific so almost impossible to quantify as generic gains. In a TT the most important thing is your position as 80-90% of what hits the air is you. Make the frontal area as small as possible with as small a loss in power as possible.

Sean I'm sure you feel better having competed irrespective where you came than if you didn't. Atleast you now have a benchmark.

That woman with her head covered up - why?
