From Toby's mother:

I thought you would like to know that Maya is taking cycling magaize articles to the hospital and reading them to Toby. We have no way of knowing how much of anything we say is making any sense to him - but we are just trying anything. He moves from Intensive care to a neuro ward Monday, but remains in a coma.

Keith chapeau to you for keeping everyone in the loop as we know it is extremely stressful for you having Bern there.
Hopefully Toby is listening to all the messages and will come around pretty soon.

Hard to imagine a more stressful scenario for Toby's partner and family. Best wishes to them all.

A hopeful update via Toby's mum:

[quote]
Later he opened his eyes for ten minutes with Maya, and was responding to her questions and statements with hand squeezing. The previous evening he attempted to do thumbs up sign on request. All this only lasts a short while, before he lapses more deeply into coma again. You can't quite call it regaining consciousness, but we are getting near at last.
