First race

Not for me.

Tom didn't win, but I think he was 5th. He drafted the kid on the cross bike for almost the whole race, then sprinted at the end.

He was really buzzed afterwards. I think he wants to race again.

He'll soon forget about all that racing nonsense when he discovers girls.

If you push him hard enough Phil, you can retire when he makes it into the big league.

You not tempted to race? Hillingdon winter series starts in a few weeks.

I'm tempted Dan but don't think I have the time to do it much. Next year I was thinking mainly of improving my times on 10s and 25s and maybe trying a 50 for "fun". I'd like to give it a go though.

His drumming seems to impress the girls more than hanging around in lycra. Women eh.

Nice one Phil, good on "the boy".

50s are great, you really have a chance to get in the zone.

Well, using my powers of specious reasoning, I figure that if a 25 isn't as unpleasant as a 10, a 50 has to be less unpleasant still.

And, extrapolating, a 24 must be pure joy and the RAAM ...

After riding with him on Saturday I knew he'd do a good 'un. Nice one, Tom. We need more racers in ACC!
