Which ones Marek? I have the Kysirium SL which have been good in training and racing. But I can imagine that a Kysirium bladed spoke would not 'go' quietly.

Yes I had SL's as well, the Campags are significantly better. I have a set of Eurus which I got off Mr Viney second hand and they have been amazing and have been riding them for years now.

Cheers

The problem with low spoke count bladed spoke wheels is when a spoke goes it throws the wheel a lot out. If the non-drive side on the rear goes, happened to me in a 100, then it turns the back end in to a snake to be dragged along.

Thanks, guys.

Theoretically, I shouldn't be having problems with breaking spokes as I'm not heavy and I'm not even at my strongest at the moment...

The Neutrons sound tempting... looks like new wheels will be high on the list for what I spend my bonus on this Christmas :D

Easton wheels, the EA90SL or EA90 SLX get my vote.
Or why not go the handbuilt route? Mavic open Pros or Ambrosios on whatever hubs. No problem finding spokes. My old road steed had hoops built by Pete wise of GBs and they were great.

Yes, that is the other option - open pros on maybe Hope hubs 8) or I might have a couple of spare Campag hubs.

Graham, is that wheel building course still on offer? I am more than happy to bring cake and sit and stroke educational cat (and I'm sure Ceefa would love it too :D )
Campagnolo Neutrons (GBs £415 less 10% ACC discount. Excellent wheels, light, strong, climb well, and being a lower profile rim will be quite friendly for you in tyre replacement in the event of a puncture.

Have a couple of hand built sets, Ambrosio's on Hope hubs, nice durable wheels, but with the Hope hubs, indexing is slightly out. Best sticking to campag hubs if campag groupset and going the hand-built route. Do have a pair of Ambrosio Excellight rims hanging around....

Does that sound like a pair of Excellight rims for sale?

How are they for getting tires on and off? Remember I'm a weak-handed girl and I struggle with tires that blokes seem to be able to put on without a tire lever!

I rather like the idea of the Hope hubs as they come in different colours including a titanium colour :D

Also having had difficulty getting the bladed spokes for the Rovals, I rather like the idea of having 'normal' spokes, easily replaceable and widely available!!

Hope hubs are excellent. I have had them on my mtb for 6 years with no troubles.

Not sure about the indexing problem tho - the hub internals shouldn't affect gear changing. A spacer between the cassette and hub body should sort out any alignment problems.

Sorry, Grahame, false alarm again - I'm going for the Mavic Ksyrium Elites. They come well recommended by Paul Smith aka Smiffy of Corridor - and I'd trust him.

Nakd Bars

A slightly cheaper alternative to cycling-specific energy bars, tastes very good too and good consistence for eating on the go, in all temperatures. Nothing untowards in them too.

Has anyone used one of these Power Breathe things? Caught my eye in a magazine today, and I wondered if they work or not??

Okay, thats pretty much what I'm seeing from some online reviews! Or, I could blow up balloons

But, has anyone tried one? Can it also help running (when I puff like a train) and swimming?? Or maybe, I'm just drawn towards the "Iron Girl" model and the fact its a pretty pink :D
