I'm sure it's feasible, but not something I've done before, so needs a bit of research/development/implementation time. I am currently job-hunting and also have no home internet access, so expect to take 2 weeks.

In the interim, I will create a Facebook calendar event (now I'm an admin for the ACC group).

OK, Thanks. Over the weekend I have established links with 3 other bulletin boards and Sportive diaries. There is a press release writtenand pending with Huw giving it a once over and I have posted links to various cycling groups and buddies that I know. Did an announcement at the club run and distributed slips of paper with web link to 50+. Huw is working on a flyer which I will distribute to local cycle shops. Nobody has told me anything bad yet so I feel that it sis probably progressing OK due in great part to various elements of support. Have we missed any promotion and publicity tricks?

Get it listed on http://www.cyclosport.org Alan.
It's pretty much the first place people look to for events.

Tried to create a FB group calendar event but I keep getting an error, odd - will try again today.

Just to note that I have referrer data for the website, so when people hit the sportive page, I know which sites they're coming from.

So far it's mostly direct (which I think includes clicks from desktop email apps, presume Alan's mail yesterday)
then Facebook, then Google, then road.cc, then hotmail. This info is probably more useful over the longer term but will continue to monitor.

Hi Alan,
I've just signed up to ride. We're now up to 21 entrants at the time of writing this post.

I can offer some help on the day too.

Cheers

Ed.
