Lucy, if you want something that makes it harder to breathe, I'd recommend 20 B&H. Don't know how much they cost now but I reckon it's less than £40.

Hi All.

ANyone got any recommendations for overshoes.
Need to be waterproof and warm.

I used to have a pair that velcroed over the top to one side which were great for adjusting shoes on the go but that seems to be out of fashion these days, they all fasten up the rear.

So now looking for something that will keep me dry in these freezing temps but not willing to stretch to Assos prices.

I was a little sceptical when I received them as they are so thin, but they are very warm and keep your feet dry. They are in stock at Chain reaction cycles, but are c£10 more I think.

Tyre lever thingy that Le Capitain had on the Brighton run. Helped to get a very tight Conti 4000s back on. I know Amy also has one.

Any idea what they are called and where to get one?

The grey one I use? That goes over the tire and sits on one rim while you attempt to get the other side of the tire on the other rim?

VAR tire levers. Think I got mine from Evans - well one of them anyway. Have seen them in other places too, I think...

Got some new B'Twin bib shorts from Decathlon yesterday and tried them on the commute this morning. Nice comfy chamois, good leg grippers, nice light mesh bib which isn't too high at the front to make comfort breaks difficult (unlike some other Decathlon shorts I've had), all for £30. What's not to like (apart from the hideous lime green trim in places, obviously).

Lezyne HP (120psi) mini medium.

Bought one of these from GB's for under £20 including discount this week having failed to inflate my tyre following a puncture with previous mini pump. Works a treat, well thought out design and very well manufactured. Although I only used it the once the tyre was rock hard.
